Going Local: Volunteer and make community better

Welcome back,

Guys in my last post we have discussed about the project idea and proposal.

Today we discuss on how to make community better. In last post we have discussed how to control budget for the project. Still we have a lot of things that we can do for society with very low budget or even no budget at all. The most important way of doing it is to "Volunteer".

There are enormous activities you can do as a volunteer. Such as you can join an ecological organisation or you can help ordinary people in daily activities. Sounds interesting! well let me tell you the best part, you can volunteer abroad.

Not only you can feel awesome by using your skills and doing something great for the community. But you can also make new friends, exploring new places and meet different cultures.

So if you finally decided to become the volunteer you can follow these steps to make it happen:

Think about what you really want to do.
Open the database of volunteering opportunities and take a look what is there.
There are huge online community of volunteer sand lot of opportunities. Definitely check some groups on Facebook.
Feel free to send Emails to the organisation, ask them if they need a volunteer or if they have an approved project you can work on.

Don't aspire for big capital fancy organisations. Target organisations in smaller towns where you can get a real insight into a local culture.

There are plenty of opportunities, you can choose from to make an impact. But volunteering is one of the best.

Volunteers don't get paid,

Not because they are work-less,

But Because they are priceless.
